What is the estate capacity?
The estate accommodates 18 overnight guests as standard, with additional beds available for groups of up to 22 guests.
Are all 9 bedrooms ensuite?
All nine bedrooms have their own private ensuite bathrooms and air conditioning.
Is the whole estate private for one group?
The entire estate is reserved exclusively for one group, including all bedrooms, gardens, communal spaces and both swimming pools.
Is Vara suitable for families with children?
Families and younger guests are welcome. Baby cots, high chairs and children’s cutlery are available, together with board games, PS4, table tennis, karaoke and pool toys.
Are taxes and service charges included?
Prices shown on the Vara website include all applicable taxes and service charges. Current public pricing is listed on the Rates page.
Is housekeeping included?
Daily housekeeping is included.
Is there staff on site?
Daily villa staff are provided, together with night security.
Can breakfast or a private chef be arranged?
Breakfast and private chef service can be arranged at additional cost.
Is BBQ available?
BBQ setup and service are included for guests.
Are the swimming pools suitable for children?
There are two swimming pools and neither has a deep end. Pool toys and floats are available. Temporary pool fencing can be arranged at additional cost, and younger children must always be supervised around the water.
What entertainment is available?
Entertainment includes karaoke, table tennis, badminton, board games, PS4, TV and sound system, two swimming pools and BBQ facilities.
Can we hold a birthday or private gathering?
Birthdays, family celebrations and private gatherings are allowed by prior arrangement, with a maximum gathering size of 40 people. Non-staying guests are welcome by prior arrangement; when they attend, a separate IDR 3,000,000 local banjar/community charge is collected by the local community and a receipt is provided. It is not a Vara fee. DJs are not permitted.
What are the noise rules?
Outdoor music and noise must end by 10:00 pm. Guests may continue socialising indoors after 10:00 pm at a considerate volume. DJs are not permitted.
How close are cafés and restaurants?
Cafés and restaurants are within approximately one minute of the estate, and many are walkable.
How far is Vara from key Canggu locations?
Typical travel times are approximately one minute to cafés and restaurants, three minutes to Batu Bolong and central Canggu, six minutes to Berawa Beach, nine minutes to Seminyak and 50 minutes to Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). Bali traffic can affect all travel times.
Is parking available?
There is on-site parking for approximately two cars, plus off-street parking for approximately one or two additional cars. Scooters can be accommodated easily.
What is the minimum stay?
The minimum stay is 2 nights.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is 2:00 pm and check-out is 12:00 noon.
Is Wi-Fi included?
Wi-Fi is included for guests.
Are airport transfers and cars available?
Airport transfers and chauffeur or car arrangements can be organised at additional cost.
What is Vara’s main advantage for larger groups?
Two pools, caring staff, nine ensuite bedrooms, a central Canggu location, washer and dryer, practical home amenities, entertainment facilities and walkable cafés and restaurants make the estate especially comfortable for families and multigenerational groups staying together.
What is the main access limitation?
The final approach road is narrow, which is common in Bali, but cars and scooters can access the property.
